Accessibility

1. Our commitment

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or operating system settings

  • zoom in to 400% without text spilling off the screen

  • navigate the whole site using a keyboard alone;

  • navigate the site using speech recognition software;

  • listen to the site using a screen reader, including recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack.

We have also tried to make the writing on the site as simple as possible to understand. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

2. The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA. WCAG is the internationally recognised standard for accessible web content, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. Level AA is the level generally expected of organisations in the UK.

3. How accessible this website Is

We assess this website as conforming to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That assessment is based on the testing described in section 8, carried out on 31 August 2026 across every page of the site.
 

At the date of this statement we are not aware of any outstanding Level AA failures. If you find one, please tell us — the contact details are in section 5, and we would rather know.
 

What we have not done

We want to be straight about the limits of that assessment:

  • The site has not been independently audited by a third party.

  • We have not yet carried out testing with disabled users. Automated and manual checks by a sighted developer are not a substitute for that, and we intend to arrange it.

  • We have tested with the assistive technologies and browser versions listed in section 7. We cannot test every combination.

  • Accessibility can regress when content is added. We re-check the site at least once a year, and after any significant change.

4. What we have done to make this site accessible

  • Text and background colours are checked to meet the minimum contrast ratios in WCAG 2.2 — 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.

  • Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and has a visible focus state.

  • Headings are used in a logical order so screen reader users can navigate by structure.

  • Form fields have visible, correctly associated labels, and errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.

  • Images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.

  • The site works at 400% zoom and at narrow widths without horizontal scrolling.

  • Motion and background animation respect the “reduce motion” setting in your operating system.

  • We do not use colour alone to convey information.

6. Your rights, and what to do if you are not happy with our response

We are a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us. Those regulations cover public sector organisations only.
 

The law that does apply to us is the Equality Act 2010. As a provider of services to the public, we have a duty to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not put at a substantial disadvantage. That duty is anticipatory: we are expected to think about access in advance rather than wait until someone cannot use the site.

7. Customers in the European Union

The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 and can reach businesses outside the EU where they provide services to consumers inside it. Microenterprises providing services are exempt: that means fewer than 10 staff and an annual turnover or balance sheet total of no more than €2 million  both conditions, not one.
 

We are a microenterprise and we do not provide services to consumers in the EU , our clients are businesses. On both grounds we do not currently fall within the Act. If that changes we will update this statement and work to EN 301 549, which incorporates WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

8. Technical information

This website relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It is built on Wix Studio. Where the platform limits what we can control, we say so in section 3.
 

Accessibility depends on your browser and assistive technology supporting these technologies. We test against current versions and one previous version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, and with VoiceOver on macOS.

9. How we tested this website

This website was last tested on 31 August 2026. The testing was carried out by us, across all nine pages of the site.
 

What we ran

  • Automated testing with axe-core, using the full WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rule sets, on every page.

  • Manual keyboard-only navigation of every interactive element, checking that each can be reached, operated, and shows a visible focus state.

  • Reflow testing at a 320 pixel viewport, equivalent to 400% zoom on a 1280 pixel screen (WCAG 1.4.10).

  • Text spacing testing, applying the line height, letter spacing, word spacing and paragraph spacing overrides required by WCAG 1.4.12 and checking that no content is lost or clipped.

  • Reduced motion testing, with the operating system preference set to “reduce”.

  • Structural checks on every page for a declared page language, a single main heading, text alternatives on images, and correctly used landmark regions.

  • Colour contrast measured numerically against the 4.5:1 threshold for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.
     

What we found

  • No automated rule violations across any page.

  • All 36 interactive elements reachable by keyboard, each with a visible focus state.

  • No horizontal scrolling at a 320 pixel viewport.

  • No loss of content or function with the WCAG text spacing overrides applied.

  • No animation running when the reduce motion preference is set.

  • Page language, heading structure, image alternatives and landmarks correct on all pages.
     

Automated tools only detect a minority of accessibility problems, which is why we do not rely on them alone. We do not use an accessibility overlay or widget ,these do not fix underlying problems and can interfere with the assistive technology someone already uses.

10. Accessibility in the work we deliver

We include an accessibility pass in every website build. That covers colour contrast, keyboard operation, focus states, heading structure, form labelling, alternative text and reduced-motion support, assessed against WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
 

Accessibility is not a one-off. Once a site is handed over, content added later can introduce new barriers an image without alternative text, a PDF that is not tagged, a video without captions. We cover this in handover training, and our care plans include periodic accessibility checks.
